PROJECT REPORT UPDATE.
This project aims to provide 1,000 Qurans and 3,000 Yassarna books to 15 under-resourced Islamic schools across Central and Eastern Uganda. The initiative is designed to support over 6,000 vulnerable children by equipping them with essential learning materials to enhance Quran reading, memorization, and spiritual growth.
Current Progress
We are pleased to share that the project has officially begun its fundraising journey on GlobalGiving.
To date, USD 77 has been raised toward our fundraising target of USD 5,649. While we are deeply grateful for the generosity of our early supporters, this means USD 5,572 is still needed to fully implement the project.
The initial donations demonstrate that people believe in this initiative, and every new contribution brings us closer to ensuring thousands of children have access to essential Islamic learning materials.
Challenge Update
The need for this project remains urgent. Many Islamic schools in underserved communities continue to operate without adequate learning materials.
Children are often forced to share a single Quran among many students, while others rely solely on oral instruction due to the lack of Yassarna books. This significantly limits their ability to:
Learn proper Quran reading (Tajweed)
Practice independently
Progress in memorization
Without intervention, these challenges will continue to hinder both educational and spiritual development.
Why Funding is Still Critical
Although we have made encouraging progress by raising USD 77, this represents only a small portion of the USD 5,649 required to achieve the project's objectives.
To fully implement the project, we still need substantial support to:
Purchase Qurans and Yassarna books in bulk.
Transport materials to 15 partner schools.
Ensure transparent, fair, and effective distribution.
Monitor and document the impact on beneficiary schools.
Every additional contribution will directly improve a child's opportunity to access quality Islamic education.
Next Steps
Once sufficient funds are raised, the project will proceed with:
Procurement of high-quality Qurans and Yassarna books.
Coordination with selected beneficiary schools.
Distribution of learning materials.
Monitoring, evaluation, and documentation of project impact.
