Keep poor kids educated in school in China

Before Chinese New Year, two dozen college student volunteers helped us sort out close to 900 letters/transcripts from students to their sponsors and sent abotu 300 to sponsors in China individually and scanned about 600 and sent to me electronically to me (amazingly very few mistakes). I read most of them with all kinds of emotion, mostly touching and inspiring, and forwarded them to their sponsors. The support has really made a difference to them and has positively influenced them both financially and mentally. Here are just a few quotes from the students.

A high school said: 1200 Yuan RMB support means 15 weeks of free food to me.

Another student who was born with severe disability in brain was able to get into the top high school in her county really understood life and said `crying is a day, smiling is also a day. Smiling is better'.

A little girl told her sponsor that she was motivated to study really hard, in particular English, to come to US to meet and thank the sponsor later.

Another girl calmed wrote (making me cry): My mom left us early, and my father and my grandma took care of us. Then a car accident took away my father's beautiful voice and right hand. Every time I see my father, it reminds me of my joke-talking and playing-with-me father but it does not match anymore. Your support enables me to stay in school. Thank you.
