The Hometown Education Foundation does its fundraising year around and chooses students to support once a year, at the beginning of Fall semester. From time to time, we add a few students during the course of the year in special cases.
During 2014-15, we support 888 poor students from elementart school to college students in China. During 2015 (up to June 30), we have received 300 generous donation, worthy $58814. In addition, Dr. Yang also raised 10000 Yuan RMB in China during his summer visit to China.
On June 19, Dr. Tonghai Yang met with 33 high school graduate students HEF supported at our partner Ningguo City Zhong Mei Ai Xin's office to talk about college life and how to survive college and how to find part time job to enrich the college life and reduce the financial burdern. It was well received. It was reported at

High school graduate students have written letters to their sponsors and filled in new application forms if they would like our continued support. We are in the process of contacting sponsorings and deciding whether and how much each individual student's financial support in college (which varies from $200 to $800 a year although most are at $300 level).
