This quarter was very crucial for everyone related to BGVP as we had done many major activities in this span of time with the help of generous efforts of our donors. The major activities included the eye operation to the few older people. Almost a group of 40 people were taken on a recreational trip to visit historical places within the state. Activities also included giving basic support to the grand parents like clothes and supplement of proper nutrient. Moreover there was a famous religious festival of hindus called "CHHAT" for which we provided the required worship material to those people who followed it religiously. Here is a short success story for everyone about "Bachhu Sada" who is a villager of Alamnagar district, Madhepura Bihar. He has a family of 10 people along with his 6 sons and 2 daughters. He was a cobbler by profession and thus He runs his family. The floodwater started to enter into his village in the mid night on 23/08/08 whereas the Kusha Dam of Koshi broke down on 18/08/08. Within couple of hours the whole village was flooded with the water everywhere. Fortunately He along with his family and the whole society managed to save their lives by running to the safe and higher places. They saved their lives but he lost his small hut and floodwater took away his hut along with his small tuck shop. Till the time the floodwater was there it was very difficult to spend their lives. In his own words, "We only used to pray to god that this deviating situation should finish as soon as it can and we can get rid of this most difficult situation of our lives and we should remain thankful to BGVP throughout our lives. Though it was our past stories but since then BGVP is continuously there for our support. As I have grown older I was loosing my eye sight because of the cataract but i had no money to get this soughted and again BGVP again stood by me to resolve this problem of mine and helped me to have an eye check-up with the specialist doctors and I got my operation done. After a rest of few months I was back in my profession and now I can do almost everything which a normal man can do with a good eye sight." Apart from this success story we would also like to share our sincere thanks to all our donors who proved the state true that, "You need not to be millionaire to help someone, it needs a heart and generous effort".
