Project Report | Dec 12, 2016
See You Next Time!

By Rosa Ammon-Ciaglo | Program Manager

Dear Friends,

This holiday season, we at Teens for Food Justice wish to send our sincerest thanks for your support of our youth-led food justice movement.

Your gifts to this fundraising campaign on Global Giving collectively raised $12,406, which supported two years of teen leadership training, nutrition education, hydroponic farming and community-based food justice advocacy in a food insecure Brooklyn school community.

We are closing this fundraising campaign as we move on to a new, exciting expansion in the upcoming year:

Construction has begun on a new 1,300 sq foot classroom farm at De Witt Clinton High School in the Bronx. This farm will grow 20,000 pounds of produce annually and will provide fresh food to 1,200 students daily in the DeWitt Clinton High School cafeteria.

Click here for our latest news, and please stay in touch by subscribing to our newsletter as we work to expand our reach to 5,000 at-risk NYC teens by 2020!

Sincerely,

The Teens for Food Justice Team
