From July 1, 2021 through September 2021, the KEX Kids Fund helped 9 children with comprehensive hearing exams in 11 counties. We partnered with 13 audiology providers.
The number of requests are increasing this fall as schools return to in person instruction and school nurses are able to refer more students.
School nurses work closely with the KEX Kids Fund and the Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation (OLSHF) to ensure that children who are referred for vision & hearing care receive resources.
School nurses are grateful for the resources provided by the KEX Kids Fund. This program helps children hear and learn to their potential.
