Dear GlobalGiving Friends
Here is a picture of a group of children and youth proudly holding their certificates of completion, after doing our three day basic agriculture training course.
During the course they learn all about bed preparation, planting seeds and seedlings, organic pest and disease control, compost making and much more.
We have had consistent interest from youth and children who want to learn about gardening during school holidays.
Thus seeds of understanding and new skills are planted in these youth and children, who all recieve a start up pack of manure, seeds and seedlings which they can use to plant their own small gardens at home.
Perhaps some of these youth and children will one day become farmers. At the very least they will appreciate better how their food is grown....and take with them a good idea of what organic gardening is all about.
Please remember that your donations help to make it possible for us to offer our training to our target group..the poor and unemployed, who live in vast townships near Cape Town.
Thank you for your continued interest in our work.
All the very best
Rob Small
