With your continued support, #vfhuganda has continued to provide essential Menstrual Health Kits (Sanitary Pads) to primary school girls who are in the reproductive age. Since the start of the year, we have distributed sanitary pads to over 1200 girls.
At Fuda primary school, that has both refugee and host community children, we have been able to consistently support 80 girl on monthly basis with sanitary pads and other menstrual hygiene kits like soap and bathing backets so that they can clean up themselves even when at school, change their pads and go back to class without needing to go back home.
''I used to be absent from school for upto 5 school days every months when I have my periods because I could not bath or change pads at school but since Voice for Humanity Uganda brought us backets, soap and Towels, I am now able to continue attending my classes normally without going back home. At home, the pads that I receive from #vfhuganda helps me so I am not worried of how to get money every month to buy pads'', Prisca (16 years and in Primary seven).
With your support we are sure to give the next generation of South sudanese and Uganda female leaders an opportunity to stay in school uninterrupted and excell in their studies. We are grateful for your continued support to this work.
Our plans are to support 10,000 school going girls with Menstrual kits over the next 5 years. We can only be able to achieve this with your continued support
