After the delay we suffered last year, this time we have positive news about our new health journey to be carried out during 2024 in Manapiare: we are already receiving our first donations of medicines and conducting interviews with specialists in gynecology, pediatrics and dentistry who wish to participate.
We also have confirmation of the support of the air force thanks to Group 9, which will help us move to that isolated area of the Amazonas State in the fastest and easiest way possible.
Thanks to the experience gained in other editions of the Ubik project and teh suggestion of medical specialists, we have decided to carry out medical missions with a samller team of people and more frequently. Thus we will try to carry out several one-week medical operations throughout the year to allow our volunteer doctors to combine their regular work with the social service they carry out in the most disadvantaged indigenous communities.
