Healthcare on Wheels

Access to healthcare remains a daily challenge for many families living in conflict-affected areas of Thai-Myanmar border. Distance, insecurity, and limited medical facilities often mean that even common illnesses go untreated until they become serious.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we were able to continue this important work by supporting one of our partner medical teams during a mobile healthcare outreach on June 26, 2026. Although this project has not yet reached its overall fundraising goal, every contribution has helped make these visits possible.

During this outreach, the team traveled to a village in KNU Brigade 6 territory, where they provided medical consultations and basic treatment to 18 patients. Of those served, 15 were women and 3 were men, including 4 children under the age of 15. Patients received health assessments, medications, and guidance for common medical concerns that would otherwise have been difficult to access.

While one outreach cannot meet every healthcare need, each visit helps reduce barriers to care and strengthens trust within communities that have very limited access to medical services. We remain committed to working alongside our local partner medical team to reach more villages as resources allow.
