Karuna is a 40 years old woman resides in Jaykrishnapur village, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India. Her husband’s name is Bhajan. They are very poor and come under the BPL family. They do not have their own agricultural land. A small tea shop is all to run their livelihood. She was suffering from various chronic diseases for long mainly high blood sugar. Along with that gastric pain was also there. Her daily activities and regular life were hampered due to such health issues.
One fine day, she met with the health worker of the Organisation and after severe counseling she was convinced to visit the mobile health camp of the Organisation organised in the area where she resides. Since her residence is little far from the Rural Hospital of the Organisation, therefore she was advised to visit the mobile health camps organised in her area. After several checkups and taking medicines regularly, she got cured and now back to her normal life.
