By Elias Borogaon | Coordinator

Examination of Health Condition
Examination of Health Condition

In continuation to the previous months in February, 2019 Mobile Medical camps were organized at six now closed Tea Garden Areas of remote Alipurduar district of West Bengal namely:

1)      Dhumsipara Tea Garden

2)      Hantapara Tea Garden

3)      Garganda Tea Garden

4)      Birpara Tea Garden

5)      Dimdima Tea Garden and

6)      Tulsipara Tea Garden

Being located far away from the normal comfort of easy city life the now closed 6 Tea Gardens area are deprived of basic amenities even water, electricity etc. Thus, the Health Camps organized by ‘Sabuj Sangha’ is healing to their pains and a source of healthy living.

In order to reach out the most remote corners possible to serve the un-served we organized multiple medical camps at each of the mentioned locations.

Thus the patients from the remotest corners of these areas can avail health services for safe healthy life. General health checkups, counseling, pathological diagnosis, referring and arranging to send critical cases to better health institutions etc. services were provided. Following doctor’s advice we also provided some free medicine to the patients.

In 24 Health Camps organized in February’19 Health Care provided to 2493 patients covering the entire vulnerable financially backward populace of these 6 now closed Tea Garden areas. Among which 2254 cases are of Reproductive Health and 54 cases are General Curative cases. Majority of the visiting people are female. Some adolescents also visited with common problems including reproductive health issues. The health issues commonly prevalent in these areas are Cold, Fever, Gynaecological Problems, Hypertension, Anaemia etc.
