Mobile Medical Camp in close Tea garden

By Arup Bhuniya | Asst. Project coordinator

Total of 25 actual medical camp were organized at six main venues of Madarihat Block. All  venues arecoverd by tea garden. As tea gardens are located in remote places and have no garden hospital. The location of the BPHC is very far from their residence. When they suffer from any disease then they can’t take government facilities to going government hospital. Due to money problem. They also cannot do hard work for weakness, hypertension due to sufficient food. It is observed that considerable numbers of people are illiterate, especially among the adivasis. That is why they did not know how to maintain health. Most of the patients are female and they had multiple problems i.e. cold, fever, gynecological problems, Hypertension, Anemia etc. Many adolescents also came with some common problems including reproductive health issues.

In our mobile medical camp, every doctor has checked the patients very carefully. We have provided different types of medicine to the patients according to their needs.

This month we conducted 25 medical camps in mentioned six different tea garden areas of madarihat block. Total 1938 patients were checked by MBBS doctor and 113 diagnostic tests were done by lab technician. We sent 71 patients to government hospital for higher facilities as referral cases.

Through our medical camp many patients have cured by taking proper medicine. This month we have founded different types of patients. Now-a-days all the patients are very happy for getting good treatment. They also have thanks for NHM for giving these facilities.
