Pak Arifin from Pangkalan Buton Village in Indonesia has supplied ASRI Medical Center with tree seedlings as payment for his medical savings account since 2019. These seedlings have been used to pay for medical treatment for himself and his family.
In 2022, Pak Arifin donated 400 tree seedlings (including durian and jengkol trees) to ASRI to pay for his three day stay at the clinic to receive medical treatment.
"I think it's not only me, but all the people here who don't have enough money to get medical treatment [...] feel very grateful that there is a non-cash payment method for medical treatment at ASRI Clinic, which helps reduce our expenses. [This way], the money we have can be used for other family needs, such as buying milk for our children." -- Pak Arifin
Because of your support, Health In Harmony and ASRI are able to continue offering non-cash payment options to patients and their families. Patients can pay for healthcare with seedlings and handicrafts or through volunteer work. In 2022 alone, the clinic received over 10,000 tree seedling donations!
Thank you for your continued support!
