YRS MOBILE CLINIC
on January 24th 2015, YRS provide mobile clinic activities to Singaraja in Pasar Banjar, Banjar Sekar, Singaraja. This activity is the first YRS services using own cars, previously YRS use rented car and private car. The cars which is supported by Australian Government and result of fundraising in Australian Consulate residence is very helpful for YRS in provide services to the remote areas in Bali.
From this activity, 171 client visited YRS mobile clinic and received sexual-reproductive health services, most of them are women who come from market community and around the market. 40 women received Pap smear examination and early detection for reproductive tract infections, 11 people received VCT test (HIV testing) and more than a hundred people received any kind of general health services and counseling.
This services was accomplished by all YRS staff outside of regular schedule on the weekend (Saturday), so it will not interrupt services in existing clinic
All the communities have a positive response to this activity, because it was an infrequent event that they received from other health service provider in their area. It also seen through support from local community leaders to support YRS activity from beginning to the end of the activity
We are optimist that YRS mobile services will reach more people especially women for sexual and reproductive health services, particularly in rural and remote areas.
Thank You for all the donors and supporters.
