Progress Report Activity on January 2021

Women Empowerment Training in Buleleng
Women Empowerment Training in Buleleng

New Year is a new hope to everybody likewise with us. Therefore, we filled the activities in January with full meaning and of course accompanied by new enthusiasm. At the beginning of this month we made another fun trip to Buleleng as well provided training to increase the clove farmer wives in the health sector. Not wanting to lose with us they then show excitement to learn about woman’s health. In order to make the training easier and understandable for them we then formed several small groups for discussion. Apart from providing materials, this training was also interspersed with role play and games. In turn, they volunteered to come forward and explain to other mothers using flipcharts, breast props and also the brochures that we provided. They are very enthusiastic about spreading information to other women around their village. We are happy about this and hoping that in the future there will increase of healthy women because they have received information about women health.

At the second week of January the Bali Regional Government issued a circular regarding the imposition of restrictions on community’s activities to suppress the spread of Covid-19. In response to this we then intensified educational activities by maximizing social media. Coinciding with National Nutrition Day, we held discussion with 8 of PE (Peer Educator) through WhatsApp group with the topic about Balanced Nutrition in the face of Covid-19. Even though they still could not meet face to face, the discussion was very exciting because they were very active in asking and answering the question we asked.
