At the end of 2020, YRS carried out various interesting activities which involved not only the community around the market but also the wider community outside the market. Starting with the commemoration of World AIDS Day on December 1st, 2020, this was filled with the distribution of ribbons and the dissemination of information on HIV / AIDS. Through this activity, YRS team at the same time educated people in Badung market and Sanur Intaran market to adopt healthy lifestyle behaviors and avoid risky behaviors in the current situation of Covid pandemic -19.
Besides World AIDS Day, this December YRS also commemorates Mother's Day. YRS team distributed flowers to tough women who supported their families economics in Pasar Badung and Pasar Intaran Sanur. This beautiful flower is a form of appreciation and gratitude to mothers who are never tireless in educating and working hard for their children and families. Besides distributing flowers, YRS also held a charity bazzar by opening a booth at Geo Open Space, Kerobokan. We offer special snacks which are of course very suitable given to the most special figure, “Mother”. This special snacks can also be obtained by the general public by following a pre-order or coming directly to Geo Open Space. Our booth received a lot of enthusiasm from young and adults people. This moment was also used by YRS team to share health information as well as to promote YRS health services agenda. In addition, all profits from this fundraiser will be used to provide health services to women in traditional markets and remote areas of Bali.
In addition, YRS had the opportunity to share information about breast cancer with internal PT HM Sampoerna teams from several countries such as Switzerland, Italy, Turkey and China. The discussion was very exciting because all of the participants actively asked questions, and a few had just heard about the factors that can facilitate breast cancer. This session can help other women get the correct information about women's health, especially breast cancer.
2020 is certainly not an easy year for everyone, but 2020 offers many different lessons and experiences. Let's welcome 2021 and together build a bright future. Happy New Year 2021!
