Mobile Clinic at Bontihing Village
YRS activities this month filled with mobile clinic services to Buleleng, join fundraising event with BIWA at Lotte Mart and also peer meeting and discussion at Badung Market.
This month YRS held a mobile clinic service to Singaraja in Bontihing Village, the last mobile clinic for this year. This activity is slightly different from the mobile clinic that is usually carried out in other places, because this activity has received tremendous support from local community leaders Mrs. Putu Sumiarti and Mr. Made Sukrawa by involving village officials, and Puskesmas Kubutambahan II. Putu Sumiarti is a resident of Bontihing Village, a property entrepreneur and her husband who are also teaching staff at the Faculty of Engineering at Udayana University. She has a very high concern for social problems in his village in the village in Bontihing. By involving local village officials, Ms. Sumiarti organized health services and collaborated with YRS through public health services, early detection of women's cancers including: cervical cancer, breast cancer, reproductive tract infections and screening services using ultrasound as YRS usually does to villages others in Bali.
Thanks to Ms. Sumiarti and family for the warmth and friendliness of the whole family to help implement the YRS mobile clinic in Bontihing Village, so that we can provide health services to 206 patients including breast cancer early detection services using ultrasound, early detection of cervical cancer with IVA and Pap Smear methods, including the treatment of various reproductive tract infections. Hopefully the spirit of Ms. Putu Sumiarti and her family to share and have such great concern for others and the surrounding environment can inspire other communities, sharing for a better life for others.
We always concern to increase women health knowledge in Badung market by peer educators (PEs). The benefit of PEs program is we can reach directly the target program with their cultural and informal daily language. PEs meeting this month discuss about diabetic commemorates to world diabetic day and also additional material, family harassment to optimized Badung Market communities health status.
