Progress Report Activity on October 2019

Mobile Clinic Service in Sidemen Village
Mobile Clinic Service in Sidemen Village

YRS activities this month filled with mobile clinic services to Karangasem, Fundraising, peer meeting and also conduct routine activities at Badung Market and Sanur Market.
Mobile clinic services were conducted at Karangasem in Sibetan village. The majority of Sidemen villagers worked as weavers. All of Sidemen Villagers were very enthusiastic during the activity, both during health services and health education. From these mobile clinics we reach more than 160 people with more than 100 people access cervical cancer screening and more than 100 people access breast cancer screening. In addition to providing health services, Rama Sesana Foundation also formed a Peer Educator whose members are 5 cadres of Sidemen Village. After the Peer Educator is formed, then Rama Sesana Foundation provides training so that so that peer educators become more confident in spreading education, especially about early detection of cervical cancer and breast cancer, so that education can be conveyed to the public effectively.

YRS also join fundraising event at Maya Sanur Resort. We not only hope for money but also hope for wide promotion during this event for wider supporter for our programs.

Peer Educators are people who voluntarily commit to help spread health information through education to people around them. Every year, YRS regularly conduct peers meeting that discuss about health issues, especially reproductive health. This year, Peer Educator Workshop was held on October 30th 2019 in collaboration with BPBD (disaster management organization) Denpasar. This time, the workshop carried out some activities like refresh their knowledge about health and emergency management training to the general public provided by BPBD Kota Denpasar. All the participants were very enthusiastic during the workshop. Hopefully, YRS in traditional market not only send sexual and reproductive health but also health emergency management in the market.
