Food & Education to 500 Homeless Children

Muwakhat Foundation started awareness campaign of hand wash in communities of Lahore and Kasure District after confirmed first two cases of the corona virus in February 26, 2020.

Hand Wash and stay home Campaign

Muwakhat Foundation is one of the organization who come in action within a week of corona virus confirmed in Pakistan. Our volunteers spread awareness in schools, members home and community centers to washing their hands advising to stay home and practice social distancing. Following activities done from March 03 till April 07, 2020:

• 28 volunteers joined organization for save people in working communities.
• Data collected of daily wagers, factory workers and other affected labours affected from lockdown. This data collected with support of Asasah organization working in sixteen cities of Pakistan.
• Result of data collection: total 36,839 daily wagers affected from lockdown.
• Awareness of washing hands, stay home and practice social distancing given to 4800 members of community.
• Distributed 2 soaps and 6 masks to one family and total 1600 families received kits.

Distributed Food packages and cash to daily wagers’ families affected from lockdown.

Muwakhat’s volunteers collected and refine data of families whose income coming from daily wages and affected from lockdown due to corona virus. This data taken from Asasah organization, offering microfinance services to 58,000 poor families for income generation in 16 cities of Punjab province.

Phase I: Identified 55 poor families for distribution of food package and cash for overcome hunger. First 55 food packages and cash distributed on March 22, 2020.

RESULT:  SOAPS, MASKS, FOOD PACKAGE & CASH DISTRIBUTED TO 1176 poor families and amount in rupees 438,500
