Failariasis patients Treatment and Awarenessin in the slums of Srikalahasti Municipality, Chittoor-district, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA.
On 25th February 2012, Dr.P.Prameelamma President STEPS NGO distributed medicines to FILARIASIS patients in STEPS Urban Health Centre. All the 20 patients have taken medicines. During this occasion Dr.Prameelamma explained about the nutritive food they have to take and asked their feedback after the treatment.
Mr.P. Ramanaiah said that after taking medicines there is slight decrease in the bulging in legs and their appetite have improved.
Mrs. Munilakshmi said that after taking medicines she is not getting fever frequently but she is having pain in legs.
Dr Prameelamma clarifying their doubts advised them to use warm water for washing their affected parts, do exercises regularly and keep pillow under their legs while sleeping.
Mr.K.Sudhakar Reddy Executive Director demonstrated how to do exercises and make the Failariasis patients to repeat those exercises.
