Final Report for Health Camps for Children in Rural India
At the Desai Foundation, we are led by those we serve, creating programs to address the specific needs of rural India’s most marginalized: women and children. Our Health and Hygiene programs are designed to bridge the gap in healthcare accessibility and include a comprehensive spectrum of initiatives such as primary healthcare services, dental care, vaccinations, health awareness campaigns, and notably, the Bal Health Mela.
In 2024 our efforts in health services have made substantial strides in rural communities, implementing initiatives that not only address immediate needs but also lay the foundation for lasting change. Through a series of health camps, check-ups, vaccinations, and the provision of essential medicines and healthcare services, our outreach has positively touched the lives of over 580,695 adults and children.
Deactivation Reason: To ensure we are utilizing our resources effectively and can provide the best support to our initiatives, we have decided to consolidate our efforts and deactivate our Health Camps for Children in Rural India project on GlobalGiving. This strategic decision will allow us to enhance the impact of our resources and continue empowering rural communities across India.

Our ongoing initiative, the "Empower Women at Every Stage of Life", similarly focuses on uplifting rural communities across India by providing health camps, awareness sessions, and general checkups.
