The Covid-19 pandemic continues throughout the world, so maintaining health care is essential, for this reason, the "Arrumacos" space in Melel's stay is closed, but it has not closed attention to children between 1 and 6 years of age who, due to the economic crisis and low family income, have forced them to spend more time in markets and places with risks and a low diet.
The pre-school education centers remain closed and it is not an education that parents pay much attention to, so Melel has carried out work in markets and squares so that children continue with stimulation and basic education according to their age .
Pantry support to the neediest families has also been maintained to strengthen the nutrition of the youngest children.
2020 ended up being a year of great uncertainty, concern, concern, but also learning, solidarity and gratitude; We begin this 2021 with the hope of continuing to build a more just society.
Thank you for continuing to be part of the life of working children in Chiapas, together with Melel Xojobal. Happy 2021!
