In the month of December, we had the closure of the year in Arrumacos.
To close the work, we put together a little tree of memories, where the children put pictures of their passage through space, showing their achievements, painting and decorating it.
Also, we said goodbye to Jasper and Lucy, two of the volunteers who shared the year with the children. Before leaving, they presented an image of their city and their families and explained to the children that they were going back to their homes. For their part, the children made a collage of photos where Lucy and Jasper were, to thank them for their passage through Arrumacos.
The last day, we went for a walk to the Arcotete, a natural space near the city. There, we shared with the families the achievements of the girls and boys, we gave them pictures and a report, so that the mothers and fathers could know what the year of their daughters and sons had been like. We also talk with mothers about help networks, promoting contacts between them.
Next week we will begin activities in the space, we are very excited for this new year of challenges!
