From January to May, CAMELEON Association remained committed to promoting the holistic healing and well-being of girls recovering from trauma by conducting at least 35 Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) sessions. Through safe and nurturing interactions with therapy animals, beneficiaries were provided with a compassionate space to process emotions, rebuild trust, and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
Between January to March, the AAT sessions focused on supporting 40 girls experiencing behavioral challenges related to dishonesty. Through guided therapeutic activities and reflective discussions, participants were encouraged to strengthen values such as honesty, accountability, and self-awareness. In April, the intervention shifted toward anger management, helping girls identify emotional triggers, develop self-regulation skills, and practice healthier ways of expressing and managing their emotions.
Beyond addressing specific behavioral concerns, the AAT sessions contributed significantly to the girls’ overall recovery and personal development. The intervention fostered emotional resilience, strengthened self-confidence, and supported the rebuilding of trust in themselves and others. By providing a safe and empowering therapeutic space, the program helped beneficiaries gain greater self-understanding, enhance their emotional well-being, and look toward the future with renewed confidence and hope.
