Healing Arts Fall Update

By Cleopatra Griffin | Co-Director

Through SafeArt’s Healing Arts for Adults programming, we work with femme-identified folks who have experienced trauma and other challenges in their lives. We support their desire to heal and assist each participant in finding their individual path to healing.

We support adults to:
  • Hold a safe container to explore challenging issues related to abuse, trauma, identity, addiction, illness, self-worth.
  • Address social-emotional issues that come up in their lives.
  • Help identify triggers and develop healthy tools and strategies to respond to them.
  • Create a safe supportive space where everyone can bring their authentic whole selves for support and healing.
Modalities SafeArt utilizes include:
  • Mindfulness, yoga, movement practices
  • Visual art projects, creative writing, dramatic expression
  • Creative ways to connect us to each other
  • Dynamic discussions
  • Games & Play
  • Healthy eating
  • Self-care and stress relief
  • Breath work
  • Plant healing
  • Music
  • Meditation
  • Journaling
HAICU - Healing Arts Imaginative Care Unit - Chelsea VT.
This group meets every Wednesday during the daytime. It is an intimate small group for adult femme-identified folks who have experienced trauma or are having difficulty coping with their daily lives for any number of reasons. This can include simple and complex life challenges in relationships, care of  loved ones, employment, finances, and emotional or spiritual issues. This is not a drop-in group. While we understand that things come up in life we ask that all group members be committed to arriving on time and attending and participating each week.

We have space in our Healing Arts Group!
Resiliency Building thru Creative Expression
This group meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Zoom
Free to Participants!

In this healing arts program we will be inviting engagement in creative expression and community connection to support you in these stressful times.

We will be creating a safe container for "doing the work," using visual arts, nature exploration, journaling, music, movement, and building resiliency practices to facilitate healing.

This group is open to women, femme identified and trans folks who have been impacted by trauma, stress, or the challenges of life.

We define trauma as any injury to body, mind, or soul. This can include illness, depression, abuse, anxiety, etc.
