Feeding Program July to October 2026

On average, we fed 46 children daily for the period in question.

Our feeding program has not developed beyond the one-meal-a-day scenario, largely due to inadequate resources to provide more than one meal.

We are, however, grateful to our friends and partners for the continued support. We couldn’t do it without your generous giving and help.

The recreation aspect has gone backwards too because we have not replaced the broken equipment.

The cost of living has shot up significantly as key indicators like fuel keep rising. This has demoralized our staff a little, as we are unable to adjust the small allowances we are handing out to them.

The cost of food has gone up. The cost of recreational equipment. Cost of transport, etc. We need a new wave of fundraising efforts and new money to turn things around.

The end-of-year party (Christmas party), the highlight of our calendar year, is around the corner. Preparations have begun. So have efforts to raise funds for it.

This is our signature event where we award the most consistent, the excelling, and the hardworking, in that order. The event includes a modelling event for both boys and girls; we do this to lift their confidence in times like these, and it has worked well throughout the years.

Each year we seek to raise at least $2000 towards successfully hosting this event. This year we are hoping to raise $2 500 to cater for the special catering, special drinks, awards, and special entertainment.

Please assist us and continue to work with us as we aim to maintain the high standards of our signature event. This is what the kids look forward to each year! And we have never disappointed.
