Dear Friends,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous donation to our project providing meals for the elderly. The Filipinos have very close family ties and the elderly are well-taken cared of. However the problem is that poverty and the lack of productive resources equally makes all members in the family hungry and destitute. Our aim is to provide the elderly with food in order for them to improve their health and well-being. We chose those who are in the most dire of circumstances as well as those who are living alone by themselves with no relatives to take care of them. We don't have nursing homes and it is not a common practice here. This reporting period we are able to provide food for 25 elderly and they are very happy about it.
