Dear Friend,
On behalf of all our staff and patients, thank you for your generous giving to Partners In Health (PIH)! We are so grateful for your partnership.
Since the 2021 earthquake, your support has helped Zanmi Lasante (ZL), PIH’s sister organization in Haiti, provide transformative care to patients, even during times of emergency. Currently, Haiti is in an escalating state of insecurity, compounded by extreme poverty and natural disasters. Over one million Haitians are facing displacement, and approximately half the population, including hundreds of thousands of children, is experiencing acute food insecurity. Road blockades and violence at ports have exacerbated the situation, disrupting the supply chain for essential medications, hampering staff transportation, and causing fuel shortages.
Despite the increasing state of emergency, the dedicated staff of ZL continue to maintain services and provide a preferential option to the poor. Our logistics and supply chain teams are consistently adapting to new and changing threats. They have implemented new processes and identified new travel routes, including ways to reach more patients at home.
In 2025, ZL delivered over 16,000 babies in-facility and provided more than 630,000 outpatient visits. Additionally, within the ZL network, 90% of people living with HIV know their status, and an additional 90% of those diagnosed are on antiretroviral therapy (ART). More than 3,200 patients were screened and put on treatment for TB across ZL sites.
While Haiti continues to face a multifaceted crisis that changes quickly, ZL staff continue to adapt to new challenges with extraordinary grit and determination. It is your generosity that allows our team to continue this lifesaving care during crises. Thank you for walking in solidarity with us.
With gratitude,
Partners In Health
