YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED TO MEET ONE OF THE WOMEN YOUR FUNDS SUPPORTED UPON HER FIRST VISIT TO THE UNITED STATES!
Celebrate Earth Day with
Women of H2ope
Global Women's Water Initiative is proud to host our first
Women of H2ope Award Event including
** stories from the field with Hajra Mukasa, GWWI Uganda Team Leader
** honoring Jan Hartsough, Director of Crabgrass & GWWI Co-Founder
Hajra founded Uganda Women's Water Initiative inspired by everything she learned from GWWI. UWWI is poised to take over GWWI East Africa operations in 2018 so GWWI can scale to other regions. Hajra will be in the United States for the first time as a Delegate for the Women In Public Service Institute, sponsored by the US State Department.
We are thrilled to honor Jan and Crabgrass as the first recipients of our Women of H2ope Award. Crabgrass will be sunsetting this year and Jan will be retiring after decades of work in human rights, food and water. As the Co-Founder of GWWI, we want to honor her powerful contributions in building women's leadership in the areas of WASH and water advocacy.
