Rehabilitation Therapy at Cedar Village enhances the comprehensive level of inpatient and outpatient care for our residents and individuals of the community recovering from illness or injury. The therapists at our state of the art therapy gym at Cedar Village address each individual need of the patients they see, including speech, physical, and occupational therapies. The Activities of Daily Living (ADL) room and therapy kitchen are just two of the many rooms within the Rehabilitation Therapy Department dedicated to re-teaching patients daily routine skills, like making the bed or baking brownies. The Aquatic Therapy center’s state of the art equipment includes two warm water small pools for individual therapy and a larger warm water pool for group work and individual therapy workouts. The Aquatic Therapy Center also hosts resident programming, such as Tai Chi. Because of the bouyancy of the water, warm water therapy is a powerful tool for recovery, making exercise possible without strain on the joints.
Patients and therapists work together to accomplish goals, ensuring the best possible outcome while building their strength and getting back to the routines of their daily lives. Patients who are discharged can continue their progress through outpatient therapy with the same therapy team they have come to know and trust.
