We've completed the database to collect expert gardener information by way of a simple web form, it has the USDA database as part of it. The web form is currently in the process of being created using ASP. It will be hosted for free as long as we keep the number of users small while we are in the development process. I will post a link to the form in a new progress report once it goes live.

We have outreach planned at the regional farmers markets, in time for the Florida's Winter growing season. We've procured a laptop to help find expert and master gardeners in the area and get them registered with our system. We have several leads on local community leaders in the food security movement with plans to meet with one of them for lunch the week of the 16th.

We have a new volunteer who is currently finishing up her Masters in Forestry Education and has a mentor with 25 years of botany education. She is helping to assemble our youth group workshop packages and hone our presentations. She's very excited about working on this.

Our team also includes a former Girl Scout leader, who is working to develop programs just for them and planning a presentation for a pilot program for the regional Girl Scout Council. Using seed kits is an easy way for the girls to distribute and handle the small numbers of seeds for their individual or patrol gardens.

If you can think of 5 people who might be interested in either donating to the project, likes gardens, has gardens, or wants to teach about how to make successful ones, please send them this. Thank you!
