We can't help but be inspired ourselves when we have the chance to make science come alive for new students that we meet. These past few months have been a whirlwind of activity as we have had the chance to bring our hands-on science activities across the world... from activities in Dartmouth, Massachusetts and Detroit, Michigan... to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo... to Sondrio, Italy. Plus, we can't wait to tell you in our next report about the activities and events we have in store for new locations in the world.
g4g is 4 years in.... operating on 5 contintents, engaged now 800 volunteers and reached more than 7000 children. And, our story continues!!
Thank you for all your help to make this happen! Each little amount that you can give helps us to reach more and more children - to inspire them to look to their future, to engage them in the fun and importance of math, science, engineer and technology and to encourage them to keep working hard and learning each and every day.
We are so touched by some recent messages from our g4g children and volunteers:
"You have made a difference in my life! Now I will study metallurgical engineering and this will be of help to my region.", one lovely greenlight girl from a recent event
"Let me express the complete satisfaction of my company in taking part in the organization of the wonderful G4G day! I had the opportunity to meet wonderful persons and to get know the students, so motivated and positively involved in the workshops, even it was after-school hours! These are experiences that can help Italian school to become better, to be more international and to open the minds of young people." an amazing workshop leader and supporter for our recent event in Italy
"I wanted to extend a big thank-you to both of you for creating such a wonderful experience for the girls in my class! They all thoroughly enjoyed themselves and couldn’t stop telling me all about the amazing experiments they partook in during the day. The event was truly inspiring and many of them are now looking forward to careers as scientists, engineers, and one student has confirmed she wants to be a journalist (after being interviewed by the media crew that were there). Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!", a great role-model and science teacher about our activity with her class
