Thanks to your support and after the rainy season, we have started monitoring the heallth of the agave agroforsestry parcels in 10 sites in rural communities. The survival rate has been extraordinary high and we continue seeing the combination of agave and trees as a promising tool to regenerate degraded lands.
We have tested soils to see the increase of soil organic matter and the rate of increase has been more than expected. More wildlife is returning to the land and we see and increas in pollinators as well as new vegetation encouraged by the pioneer plants (agave and mezquite)
Thank you very much for your support!
