We're planting 2,000 indigenous and fruit trees in and around six schools in Kenya while empowering 3,000 children with climate education, leadership, and environmental stewardship. Students will join environmental clubs, track tree growth, perform climate-themed plays, and inspire communities. Help us grow a generation of climate champions-one tree, one school, one child at a time.
Many schools in Kenya sit on degraded land with minimal green cover, contributing to soil erosion, poor microclimates, and lack of environmental awareness. Students lack opportunities to engage with nature meaningfully, and climate change education remains mostly theoretical and detached from daily life.
We're creating student-led, tree-growing schoolyards where learners plant, mulch, water, and adopt trees-then track growth and health bi-monthly using our Tree Growth Trackers. These greener spaces reduce dust, cool classrooms, and enhance general well-being. Through environmental clubs, students lead hands-on conservation, build critical skills, and help embed sustainability into school culture and community life.
By linking tree-growing with education, the project cultivates future environmental leaders and helps regenerate degraded school grounds. The trees will improve local biodiversity, soil health, and carbon capture. Students will carry these habits home-spreading sustainability to their families and neighborhoods.
