Green Kids: 1,000 Children Plant 5,000 Trees

Since the last report, the Green Kids: 1,000 Children Plant 5,000 Trees project has remained in the early fundraising stage, with financial support continuing to be the main priority. The project has raised only a small portion of its $17,600 funding goal, leaving the initiative significantly underfunded and limiting the start of full-scale activities. Current resources are not yet sufficient to cover key implementation costs, including school engagement, nursery establishment, seedling production, environmental education materials, and tree distribution.

Despite the funding gap, preliminary planning and coordination for the project remain ongoing. Preparations are being made to engage participating schools and develop the environmental education and tree-care activities that will support the 1,000 children involved. Once additional funding is secured, implementation will begin with school nurseries, practical environmental training, and the distribution and planting of 5,000 fruit and indigenous trees. Continued fundraising is therefore essential to move the project from preparation into active implementation and achieve its intended environmental and educational impact.
