Have you ever heard the saying: “It takes a whole village to raise a child”? Probably, since it is a saying that has been used as a book title, posters, and even memes. It has been overused and not always understood. On December 31st, Three Precious Miracles experienced a miracle and it truly DID take a whole village to make it happen!
We made our goal with Global Giving through donations from so many people in our village. Everyone played a very important part to our success. Some gave what they could with small donations, some gave larger donations, and those who could not provide donations shared our posts and our story, increasing our village. Others sent us prayers. Some anonymous members of our global village gave more money than we thought was impossible to wish for! It took each member of our village to reach our goal for our children in the care of our Grandparent Elders, who are caring for them. We are humbled to have you in our village and grateful to each one of you for the role you played in reaching our goal to become a member of Global Giving. We surpassed our goal! What a beautiful Christmas season story!
Our story isn’t over though and our work continues. It is time to gather our village to continue to raise the children. Our children continue to come into care and our Elders continue to take them in and embrace them in their healing. We continue to need your help to reach our goal for this project. We need to raise about three thousand dollars more to complete this goal. Thank you for being part of our dream. Thank you for your continued support, and most of all, thank you for being a very integral part of our village. Together, we are always better. It takes each one of us to raise a child.
