Girls Leading Our World (GLOW) Leadership Academy 2014 Preparation

The final stage of the preparation phase of Girls Leading Our World Leadership Academy 2014 successfully embarked in April 2014 with the opening of the application process for the this year's participants. More than 5000 invitations were sent out to schools, non-governmental organizations and individuals working with young people in order to reach girls ages 14 to 18 years old from all parts of the country. The GLOW trainers also conducted 5 presentations in schools all over the country in desire to reach girls of different descents, interests and from different regions of Bulgaria.This year, GLOW Bulgaria also has a nomination process through which people can recommend girls who they believe would be a good fit and who should be invited to apply for the GLOW Leadership Academy.

The organization's team of volunteers has been developing new lessons for the camper's manual, adding a variety of new topics. The manual is being written by our volunteer-experts from the Western Connecticut State University (USA) and the University of Veliko Tarnovo (Bulgaria), in order to best answer the current needs of the girls who will join the GLOW family this year.
