Dear Supporters of GlobeMed at UC,
As we dive into this New Year we continue to express our gratitude for all of your support. Last year ended strong and with your commitment, it has made it easier to accomplish our goals. We have welcomed new members and are excited for what the rest of the semester will bring.
Individual giving was a success and we would like to extend our thanks to everyone who participated. Your caring support to Social Action for Women will make a great difference to the Burmese migrants living in rural communities in Phop Phra.
There has been great energy this semester as we have recently done tabling events for World Day of Social Justice and held two fundraising events on campus. Our annual benefit dinner is only a few days away. It is taking place on March 3, 2017 at the Phoenix in Cincinnati. If you have not purchased your tickets, you still have a few days to do so! It is a wonderful event to learn more about GlobeMed at UC, our partner, and Global Health.
As for our partner, they are continuing to work to provide services for the Burmese migrants living in Thailand. Our GROW team has been preparing throughout this year to go and visit our partner through research and training offered through GlobeMed headquarters. The GROW team is an important part of our organization and they ensure that we have that personal relationship with our partner.
As for SAW, they are continuing to work harder than ever to advocate and provide services ensuring the wellbeing of each individual. They are making many strides within their organization. As GlobeMed at UC continues to support them in their endeavors, we ask that you continue to support and grow with us. Your support has played a tremendous role in SAW’s success and to continue to advocate for community health, gender-based violence, family, and accessible healthcare we need your help.
