Project Report | Feb 26, 2019
GlobeMed at UCincinnati, February 2019 Report

By Emily Kim and Anna Layman | Co-Presidents

Dear supporters of GlobeMed at UCincinnati,

We have been very busy lately, and we're excited to update you on everything we've been up to.

1. We just got back from GlobeMed's Annual Summit! We learned so much from other chapters and had the privilege to meet inspiring global health leaders. Thank you to Priya, Elizabeth, and the rest of the GlobeMed HQ team for organizing such an amazing weekend.

2. We are organizing our 6th Annual Benefit Dinner on March 29th, 2019 at The Phoenix in downtown Cincinnati from 6pm-9:30pm. Our speakers include Dr. Kate York, director of Global Health Nursing, and Juliana Madzia, GlobeMed at UC alum and current University of Cincinnati MD/PhD candidate. We will also be hosting a silent auction, cocktail hour, and exhibitions Consider buying or sponsoring a ticket here.

3. Through our individual giving campaign alone, we have so far raised over $4600 for SAW. We would like to thank everyone who has donated so far immensely for their help and dedication, and we would encourage anyone who has a passion for SAW, social justice, GlobeMed at UC, students, or global health to donate towards this campaign. Our ultimate goal is $6000, and we're so close!

4. Co-President Elections are coming up very soon. Although Anna and I have enjoyed this year immensely, the next report that you receive will be from new co-presidents. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us through this journey together, and although this chapter of our lives will be coming to a close, our memories and friendships will last a lifetime.

Once again, thank you for your continued support. You all have been so generous, and we could not ask for a better network.

Yours in health,

Anna and Emily
