We have been hard at work at GGM continuing to raise funds so we can move forward on producing more webisodes.
We secured a screening partnership with ALTA MED Health Clinics in East and South Los Angeles, where our series is now featured in their waiting rooms, serving over 1,500 people a day at 25 clinics. We are thrilled the message of healthy eating, alternative gardens and food justive is being shared in the communities we work directly in.
We also secured a donation of 2,000 luna bars! Healthy snacks from a woman-owned company, we are very grateful to LUNA BAR for their generous donation. We have not produced any more webisodes for this series as we have not been able to reach out funding goal. However, the GlobalGirls in L.A. are hard at work on other projects, writing blogs and attending screenings, gatherings and other important girl-empowerment events such as the recent Brentwood School event
"ITS OUR TURN," where GGM'S Executive Director and Board Member Bronwyn Cornelius joined GlobalGirls Rebecca and Alejandra for an informed-filled day of key note lectures, break-out session, etc. Also attended by actors Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Journalist Maria Shriver, and slam poetess Azure Antoinette...and many other women thought leaders, artists, doctors, researchers, etc.
Stay tuned for more news on our FOOD FORWARD series...and thanks as always for your support!
