At Government College Ibadan (GCI), we firmly believe in the importance of shaping the leaders of tomorrow. The vision behind the GCIOBA project is centered around enhancing the school’s infrastructure, with a particular focus on providing Wi-Fi access, improving learning facilities, and contributing to the overall development of the institution. However, the most crucial element of this vision is the students themselves, the future leaders who will benefit from these opportunities.
To ensure that the students are fully equipped to take advantage of the advancements being made, this quarter the Old Boys Association stepped forward with targeted support. This support has been instrumental in improving the academic environment and overall student experience. Specifically, this quarter the GCIOBA paid the salaries of 11 qualified teachers in critical subject areas, including English, Mathematics, Computer Science, Technical Drawing, and a Librarian. Additionally, we have instituted scholarships that cover the boarding and other fees for 11 carefully selected students, ensuring that their learning experience is as seamless and worry-free as possible.
The attached photos and video provide a glimpse into the progress that has been made so far and reflect the positive impact these initiatives have had on the students. The continuous support for both the students and the infrastructure development will play a key role in realizing our vision: to foster excellence among the students and prepare them for successful, fulfilling futures.
We are committed to driving these efforts forward, with the belief that every step we take today will help shape the leaders of tomorrow.
