1. Executive Summary 

LHMHA implemented Project #73033 to support 180 registered orphans affected by HIV/AIDS and to reduce new infections in 23 rural villages. We delivered monthly nutrition + education support, conducted 2,400 HIV tests with 67 positive cases linked to ART, and trained 42 caregivers on child protection. 92.5% of quarterly targets were met. Key impact: malnutrition among supported children fell from 28% to 11.7%, and HIV knowledge in target villages rose from 52% to 87.3% per post-campaign surveys. Total funds received and utilized: $17,850 of $18,000 budget. 98.3% budget utilization.

- Districts: Mbale 108 children, Sironko 72 children

*4. Key Outcomes *

1. *Nutrition:* 21 of 24 previously malnourished children moved to normal weight-for-age per MUAC screening on 20 May 2026.

2. *Education:* 165/180 children maintained ≥95% attendance Term 1 2026. 23 P7 candidates registered for UNEB exams.

3. *HIV Prevention:* 2,403 tested. 67 new positives = 2.8% positivity rate. 100% linked to Mbale RRH + Sironko HCIV ART clinics within 14 days.

4. *Stigma:* Post-test survey of 300 community members: 87.3% could name 3 prevention methods vs 52% baseline Jan 2026.[Measured]

*6. Challenges + Solutions*

1. *Fuel price increase 28% in Feb 2026* → Solution: Clustered villages, used boda-boda volunteers, saved $190.

2. *Low male turnout for HCT* → Solution: Partnered with male peer leaders + tested at trading centers evenings.

3. *20 orphans short of target* → Reason: 20 children turned 18 + graduated. Replacement list verified by LC1 chairs.
