From 27 August 2026, all donations to the Australian Red Cross Global Emergency Fund will support the Red Cross response to devastating flash floods in northern Nepal. Reports indicate that at least 160 people have lost lives, while hundreds remain missing including Australians, as the full scale of the disaster continues to emerge. Nepal Red Cross Society has mobilised Emergency Response Teams and volunteers to support emergency assessments and relief operations.
