We're so excited to announce our newest international partner, Centro de Invencion Edu-Therapeutico (CIE), located in Managua, Nicaragua. CIE is a center for children with autism and other developmental disabilities in Managua, Nicaragua. This center serves as a hub for best practices in the country of Nicaragua and is run by the only Board Certified Behavior Analyst in the country. With increased autism awareness in Nicaragua has come an ever-growing need for services. CIE provides affordable, evidence-based practices to children from 18 months - 18 years with 1 on 1 therapy. CIE is also in the process of becoming one of the first providers for autism services funded by public insurance in Latin America. The center is growing quickly and there is a need for rapid training to keep up with the need! We're thrilled to be able to expand our work into a new community and help increase access to quality services for people with autism in Nicaragua.
Additionally, we recently published our 2015 Gratitude Report. The report gives readers a comprehensive overview of how and what the Global Autism Project did in 2015. Read the report here.
