2016 Q1 Update
By Arshiya Malik | Manager of Programs and Services
Quarter 1 has been an exciting time at the Global Autism Project. We have already run 3 SkillCorps trips (to Kenya, the DR, and Indonesia) and have our 4th trip underway with a team in Kenya. We're projecting that 2016 will have the most SkillCorps trips run in a year as well as the largest number of volunteers participating. We're so excited to have so many new people join our network and help us get closer to achieving our mission.
On April 1st, our Founder/CEO, Molly Ola Pinney was an invited panelist at the United Nations' event for World Autism Awareness Day. Though we have attended these annual events in the past, this is the first time that Ms. Pinney spoke on behalf of our work and the important of increasing awareness and acceptance around the world.
As World Autism Awareness month continues, we are running an exciting campaign showcasing the stories of so many of the people involved in our work. These include the adults with autism that are employed by the Global Autism Project, our partners, and the kids we work with around the world. Click here to read our stories. We are aiming to get 100 new COMPASS members during the month of April to support our work.
We have also continued to speak with many new prospective partners and are hoping to announce at least one new partnership later this year.

2015 End of Year Update
By Arshiya Malik | Director of Operations
2015 has been a fantastic year for the Global Autism Project. We established our first ever monthly giving program, COMPASS, to increase our own sustainability in order to continue to provide quality services and training to our international partners.
Throughout 2015 we received over 20 partnership inquiries from 20 different countries all over the world. While we cannot yet partner with them all, we are working hard to grow and build our capacity so that we can add many new partnerships in the next few years. We have set a new goal for ourselves, called Vision 2020. This goal is to have 20 partnerships in 20 different countries!
We are so excited to start 2016 off strong and really make this a year of transformation!

SkillCorps in the Dominican Republic
By Sara | Project Leader

It's been an amazing 10 months since we launched our Global Giving campaign! We receive inquiries weekly from people around the world seeking services for their children with autism in order to reach their full potential. We are thrilled to be providing hope in response; change is coming - and it's big! Thank you for your contribution which propels our mission forward.
Our SkillCorps team leaves for the Dominican Republic in less than two weeks. They are busy preparing themselves culturally and clinically to address the challenges faced within the culture and community. During the 2-week intensive staff training at our partner site, our SkillCorps team will be providing en-vivo training to staff, hosting workshops for clinicians, and assisting with awareness campaigns and support groups to provide inclusive, best practices for the Dominican Republic.
With multiple staff members seeking BCBA™ certification, we are looking forward to establishing Aprendo as a center of excellence for autism in the Dominican Republic and watching their impact grow as they then are able to train staff and community members. The reach of the Global Autism Project has grown, thanks to our generous donors.
We are also so excited to launch Compass! By joining Compass you will receive access to up-to-date data and information about each partner site, including videos from SkillCorps teams and photos from the site. Join today to watch your dollar travel!
