You did it! Spirit Day - the annual day to stand up against bullying - was a global phenomenon this year, with record participation from around the world. And we have you to thank! Everywhere we turned on October 15th, people went purple in support of LGBT youth.
From the White House in Washington, DC to students at Beethoven Elementary School in Los Angeles, you helped us send a clear message the bullying just isn't OK.
Check out just some of the people and places that went purple below.
This year we even translated our anti-bullying resources kits into six different languages. For the first time ever, these critical tools were available in Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, Russian, French and Portuguese, empowering more members than ever to take a stand.
This sent a tremendous message to LGBT youth that they are not alone. To those struggling with rejection, there's no message more powerful than that.
Thank you for being a GLAADiator.
