Reaching Back, Inc., is dedicated to providing essential home repairs, revitalization, and housing stabilization services for marginalized seniors in Memphis and Shelby County. Through partnerships with contractors, government agencies, social services, legal and medical facilities, we work to ensure safe and stable living environments for seniors. This includes covering the costs for small and major home repars, utilities taxes and mortgages. In addition to offering these services we offer an Advocacy Program.
All funds are used by Reaching Back's Rosebud Project to directly support our mission of improving the safety, accessibility, and quality of life for low income senior citizens through essential home repairs. Specifically, the funds were allocated as follows:
Direct Home Repair Costs - To date, we have been able to make needed repairs to senior homes which included plumbing fixes, bathroom safety modifications (grab bars), floor repairs, painting and lawn services. Funds used included contractor labor and supplies.
Program Operations and Coordination - We also used funds to help cover part time staff and contractors who coordinated assessments, managed service providers and ensured compliance with safety and building standards.
