Our office received a call from a local veteran during the dead heat of the summer in the triple digits. He found out about the Reaching Back Inc. non-profit in the Shelby County Commission on Aging Senior Guide, where we help low-income seniors. The veteran contacted our office and advised his A/C was not working properly. We immediately sent our HVAC contractor to go and assess the AC issues. The contractor advised the unit cannot be fixed and would need to be fully replaced. With your generosity, we were able to replace the veteran's AC unit, and we also provided him and his family with a food box. Thank you so much to our GlobalGiving donors!
