During this period, a total of thirty-five (35) children, aged five (5) months to twelve (12) years old, received shelter and nutritious food. All the children were given milk and vitamins to improve their appetite and strengthen their immune systems. Additionally, the needs of eight (8) infants, such as clothing and diapers, were met.
Five (5) children are currently undergoing occupational and speech therapy, with four (4) of them integrated into daycare and kindergarten programs. They have been able to manage their daily school activities effectively. The children have shown significant improvement in their interactions with peers and staff at the residential shelter, and their speech has become clearer, allowing them to express their needs more effectively.
Twenty-one (21) children maintained regular school attendance; however, one (1) older child was adopted internationally. Volunteers and regular donors continue to offer tutorial sessions and online app-based lessons for the children.
In terms of medical care, Eighteen (18) children received treatment for coughs, colds, fevers, skin problems, vomiting, abdominal pain, and a forehead wound. One (1) boy completed physiotherapy for a left elbow injury caused by prolonged immobilization, and is now resolving. As part of health prevention, three (3) infants were vaccinated with their second doses of inactivated polio, MMR, and pentavalent vaccines.
We are as always, grateful for the continued support and blessings you have been sharing in the care, nutrition, academic and medical needs of these children. May God richly reward you in our behalf for helping us in meeting the needs of these children.
